If you have been astonished by the unearthly sympathy that exists between the music of Bill Frisell and Jim's drawings, and if you have nodded with solemn approval on observing Jim’s art on two of Frisell’s CDs (1996’s Gone, Just Like A Train; Bill Frisell with Dave Holland and Elvin Jones, 2001), and if you have been transported to the ecstatic realms by the book-and-CD-combo TROSPER, then you will certainly be gratified to learn that these twin sons of different mothers collaborated on an hour-long stage presentation titled MYSTERIO SYMPATICO, which opened the Seattle Summer Arts Festival in July 2002 at Meany Hall on the University of Washington Campus. It was also performed at St. Ann's Warehouse in New York and the Rendezous Jewelbox Theater in Seattle. It is rumored that it will be performed at Carnegie Hall in 2006; watch the news page for details
